Rough start

At 230 this morning Malachi jumped into a funny accelerated heart
rhythm. Assuming it was his usual svt they tried a single bolts of
adenosine. Nothing. A double bolts. Nothing. A triple bolus. Nothing.
A procainamide bolus. Nothing. Still fast. A procainamide drip.
Nothing. We received a call from the hospital at. 600 to inform us of
what is going on and let us know that he would need to be shocked out
of it. I got here at 700. At 715 they were attaching the paddles ( not
quite like in er ). 2 joules of charge. They gave some versed and
fentanyl sedation. "All clear." Didn't convert. 3 joules. "all clear.
" didn't convert. So now we wait. He is stable from a blood pressure
and oxygen saturation standpoint. He does not look like he's in any
stress in any sense of the word. More to come later.
