Postponed

Malachi decided it'd be fun to switch over to SVT this morning about
an hour before he was to be taken to the operating room. He also at
that point had no venous access. His central line started leaking
before shift change last night during a blood transfusion and he had
since gone through two peripheral ivs. The second iv had JUST stopped
looking good enough to use. One of the nurses was able to successully
place a scalp iv and Malachi had a vagal response which converted him
MOSTLY back to sinus rhythm. I'm glad that did the trick otherwise
they were about to ice his face if they couldn't get an iv.

John and I have been here since 530 or so. We got some food after Chi
stablized, but I'm really wanting a caramel latte at this point.

Oh and surgery isn't cancelled at this point, but it is postponed.
Unfortunately the case that we are now waiting for is pretty complex
and involved and lengthy. So for now we wait and pray that he doesn't
switch over again.
