Update 1130

Surgery has been over for about an hour. He's definitely
uncomfortable, but he just got some morphine and versed so hopefully
he will take a pain free snooze. As I was typing this, his systolic BP
dropped from 90 down to high 30s. It has now stuck to close to his
normal range in the 70s. He's got crusty blood around both new holes
which grosses me out, but I can finally see his face tape free! He's
beautiful!

  1. Glad he's out of surgery. Sorry he has been uncomfortable. Hopefully with the pain meds and some rest, his BP will remain in his normal range.

And... yay for a tape free, beautiful face!

  3. So glad he's out and for the way the team proceeded carefully over two days when the BP dropped. It is so moving to see how closely they watch things and how carefully they handle your precious child.

We can totally relate to first time we were able to look at our child tape-free so we celebrate that with you. http://rudysbeat.wordpress.com/2009/02/10/hes-back-2/

Peace to you and rest comfortably, Malachi!
