Trying to spend some down time with John tonight, more of an update will hopefully follow tomorrow. We are officially staying in the Ronald McDonald house. Baby Chi is doing well, still in recovery. He is on morphine for pain, poor little man. We were able to head home for a couple hours this afternoon to spend some time with Emerson (cute video to follow on the blog at a later date) We plan on spending most of the day at the hospital tomorrow. At least there is no more packing and unpacking every day at the in-house center. Emotionally, today was a rough one. Thankful that God is quick to prove Himself faithful, true, and merciful in our times of weakness. Again, thank you for your continued prayers and support. You will never truly know how much we appreciate them!

  1. Hey Marissa--I've been reading your blog through Londa's prompting. {I believe our husband's were @ Faith together}, Anyway. I wanted to just say that I am praying for you guys and Baby Chi. Reading through your story brought back so many memories from being in the NICU w/ our boys this summer. While we didn't have to endure the surgeries and major complications that you are going through, I remember what it's like to recover postpardum in a NICU. Your concern for your baby and the complete exhaustion from giving birth, and being torn wanting to see your other baby. I get it, totally. The memories are very fresh.
Praise the Lord for how He has protected Chi so far. He has a plan for that little boy. And it is hard to surrender our children to Him, isn't it? Wow. We will be praying for you guys. Thanks for sharing your story.
